Communications 11 Block 1: Homework for Wednesday

• If not finished, write a rough copy paragraph of 5 to 8 sentences on topic #2:
• "Should 16 year-olds be allowed to marry without parental consent?" 
• Choose one side or the other, and provide three clearly explained reasons to support your topic sentence.
• Follow the conventions of a paragraph!
• If not finished, complete the following letters:
• Business letter #1 (ie. "thank you for the interview...") 
• Business letter #2 (ie. the cover letter) 
• Business letter #3 (ie. the consumer complaint letter) 
• You must show me 3 hand written rough copies and two good copies.
• Make sure they all follow the prescribed format!

• Today we started the poetry project! It's due Wednesday, June 15th.
• Bring your own books of poetry if you have some at home.
• If not finished, write a paragraph (good copy and rough copy) of 7 to 12 sentences on the following topic:
• Explain the theme of one of your poems from the 11x17 handout.
• Choose a longer poem!
• You must include two properly blended quotations (using two different methods of blending) and proper citations.
• Follow the conventions of a paragraph!
• Make sure you get all the poetry notes!
