    • Consider what has changed for Macbeth by the end of Act 3. How has his relationship to Lady Macbeth changed? How has his attitude toward fate changed? How has grip over the the royal crown changed, as evidenced by the final scene of Act 3?
    • Study your notes on the Two Worldviews of Macbeth (above).

English 12 Block 3: Homework for Wednesday
  • Read Chp. 2 of The Great Gatsby (TGG). Finish one page of Cornell notes for Thursday. Detail counts!

  • Be ready for Friday's vocabulary quiz for Chps. 1-3!
  • Did you miss Wednesday's writing exam?
  • Did you miss last Tuesday's in-class essay? You will write on one of two possible topics:
    • 1st topic:
      • A) Compare and contrast “Tyranny of the Clock” and “If Hitler Asked…”
    • 2nd topic:
      • B) Compare and contrast “I Have A Dream” and “Lifeboat Ethics”
    • For the essay, you can bring the quotations sheet (see below) and an outline. Be ready for both topics!!!

English 9 Linear: 
Homework for Friday
  • Finish the newspaper/magazine project. 
    • The Newspaper Project: Review the last six chapters of Interface. Choose one chapter and then choose four articles/stories within that chapter (except the poems). By the end of next week, we will have typed up four explanatory paragraphs (of 8 to 12 sentences). They should all follow the same format:
    • Explain your article like this!
      • TS: Bob Smith's "--------------------" explains how/discuses the/argues that ______________________________. [Transition phrase, ...]
      • Explain three events, examples and/or points in full detail.
      • CS: Overall, what is the author's message? What is your view of this message?
      • Create a title and include your full name.
      • No line breaks, please!
