English 11 Block 1: Homework for Wednesday
- Reread 1.1 to 1.3 of Macbeth using No Fear Shakespeare.
- Choose one of the three most recent paragraphs (on conflict, point of view or theme) and rewrite it for the first day of school after the spring break.
- Indent at the beginning only.
- Edit for spelling and sentence structure.
- Underline or italicize the title of the novel.
- Expand your 3-4 points by developing and extending your examples.
- Include two properly blended and cited quotations. Use any blending style. Don’t forget ibid for the second quotation:
- ..." (Marlyn 45).
- ..." (ibid 149).
- Include 2-3 transitions. Be careful of the specific (and extra) transitions in complex paragraphs.
- Make sure your conclusion summarizes specific examples.
