Planning 10 Online Block 1: Homework for Wednesday
  • Everyone should be finished 1.3 by Tuesday, Oct. 6.
English 12 Block 2: Homework for Wednesday
  • Read George Woodcock's "Tyranny of the Clock" essay for tomorrow.
  • Did you miss Jo Goodwin Parker's "What is poverty" in-class test today? You better see me!
  • The good copy of the "influences" essay was due last week!
    • It must be typed or neatly hand written (space and a half or double spaced).
    • Include the rough copy with the good copy.

English 10 Block 3: Homework for Wednesday
    • Study for Wednesday's noun test! It will include pluralization, possession and capitalization.
    • Finish the questions for "Belonging to the Dragon":
      •  Answer in 2-3 proper sentences each.
        1. In the first few sentences, there’s a subtle clue that something going to go wrong. Explain this foreshadowing. (2)
        2. Look up allusion in the glossary of Inside Stories ll. Why is the reference to James Dean an allusion? (2)
        3. Starla is obviously a rounded character. Explain why. (3)
        4. Identify and explain one stock (i.e. stereotypical) character in the story. (3)
        5. What is the point of view of this story? Explain with one specific example. (3)
