English 10 Block 1: Homework for Tuesday
- If not done, complete your third paragraph on one of the following topics:
- Should 16 year-olds be

- be allowed to drink alcohol?
- be allowed to join the military without parental permission?
- have the right to medical privacy?
- be allowed to smoke?
- be allowed to marry without parental permission?
- If not finished, complete a second good copy paragraph on the following topic:
- Should 16 year-olds be fully responsible for their criminal behaviour? In other words, should they be treated just like adults in a court of law?
- The paragraphs should conform to the rules established in class.
- Choose one side or another, but do not start with "yes" or "no".
- It should be between 7 and 12 sentences long.
- It needs one indentation at the beginning, but no line breaks. Please DO NOT WRITE AN ESSAY!
- Make sure your parental letter and five divider tabs are marked.
English 12 Block 2: Homework for Tuesday
- Complete your introductory paragraph (IP). The overall prompt is as follows:
- We are influenced by our social environment.
- Make sure your IP is 3-6 sentences long and contains
- an opening section that grabs the reader and discusses the general topic (which is the prompt)
- provides a thesis
- and outlines your body paragraph topics
- If not done, finish (in good copy, ironically) your cover letter. Remember, this is a bad cover letter, filled with as many colloquial and slang words as possible. Otherwise, spelling and sentence structure should be...okay.
- If not done, complete your third paragraph on one of the following topics:
- How have you been influenced by your
- country? OR
- culture? OR
- friends?
- How have you been influenced by your school?
- The paragraph should conform to the rules established in class.
- It should be between 8 and 14 sentences long.
- Use 2-4 introductory transitions.
- It needs one indentation at the beginning, but no further line-breaks. Please DO NOT WRITE AN ESSAY!
- Make sure your parental letter and five divider tabs are marked.
Communications 11 Block 3: Homework for Monday
- 2.2 is due on Thursday (Sept. 22).
- Finish the first two marked assignments for Tuesday.
- All of 2.1 should've been finished by Thursday, Sept. 15.
