  • Fill in the Part 1 vocabulary. The vocabulary sheet will be due Friday.
  • Did you write last Thursday's short story test? If not, you'll need to see me after school on Friday, Monday or Tuesday.

English 12 Block 2
Homework for Wednesday
  • Study for Wednesday's writing test:
  • Start your Cornell notes for Chapter 1 of The Great Gatsby. They are due Thursday. Also, study your vocabulary for the Chapter 1 vocabulary quiz on Thursday.
  • Interested in reading The Great Gatsby on an e-reader or iPad? Download (by right-clicking and choosing Save Target/Link As) and save the novel in epub format. Most phones, e-readers and iPads will be able to use epub in their reading apps.
  • Did you write Thursday's in-class essay? If not, you'll need to write the essay in-class (not at home) and after school within the next week. A new coin flip will be used.
    • Complete the quotation sheet and have at least 2-3 quotations ready for each essay topic. I want to see at least two quotations per essay. BRING THIS SHEET TO CLASS. Also, review the videos below.
    • Complete an outline for each of the essay topics. Because of the flex day on Wednesdays and its shortened classes, we will postpone the in-class essay until Thursday. Wednesday is important, however, as we will work on quotations (see below). BRING THIS SHEET TO CLASS.
