- read one chapter a day (Chp. 3 for Thursday);
- complete the three chapters worth of the vocabulary (or more);
- complete the notes for that chapter (up to #9).
- Did you write last Wednesday's fiction test? It will cover all the notes we've studied (theme, characters, plot, conflict, irony and symbolism, point of view and legend/myth/fable/fantasy) and include samples of short stories from previous exams.
- Did you finish the study guide for the short story test?

- 3. Why is Angelou’s grandmother victorious? (2)
- 4. Explain one stylistic device used in this essay. (2)
- 5. Offer two reasons to explain why this is a narrative essay. (2)
