- Ask yourself the following questions:
- Which characters embody the American Dream? Do they really?
- How are women portrayed in the novel?
- How does wealth corrupt the human condition in the novel?
- Review our class notes on "to what extent".
English 10 Block 3: Homework for Wednesday
- Read Chps. 5 and 6 of Maus I. Start the study guide! It's due, along with the Maus test, on Thursday.
- Your essay was due on today (Tuesday). Is it done?
- Should 16 year-olds be treated like children or adults (or something in-between)?
- Did you write the 3rd vocabulary test on Friday? No? Then study your words from Lists #9-12.
English 12 Linear Block 1: Homework for Wednesday
- If you were away, come see me for a collection of poems that I handed out Monday. I want you to identify at least four examples of figurative language and/or sound play for each poem.
- If not done, finish your second poetry paragraph, "Beyond the Snowbelt".
- Include two to four properly blended quotations.
- Cite each quotation using the simple MLA system: "..." (line 5).
