English 12 Block 1: Homework for Thursday
  • Read Chp. 14 of Under the Ribs of Death (UTROD) and start the 3rd vocab sheet and study guide.
  • Did you miss the 2nd UTROD test on Tuesday, Feb. 19?
    • Read your Powerpoint notes on plot and UTROD's themes and literary devices.
    • Memorize the vocabulary words!
    • Try this online crossword for UTROD Part 2.

English 9 Block 2: Homework for Thursday
  • On Wednesday, Feb. 20, I'll take in both typed paragraphs. Which one do you want me to "deep" mark?
  • Be ready for  next Tuesday's sentence test on the parts of the sentence, simple sentences, compound sentences and complex sentences.

English 11 Block 3:

  • Be ready for tomorrow's sentence error test.
  • Read "Behind the Headlines". We'll work on it tomorrow. 
  • Did you write the "Always a Motive" quiz?
  • Did you miss "Rifles of the Regiment"?
    • Alternate Assignment: In a full paragraph of 7-12 sentences, describe a theme of this story. Use 2-4 specific examples.
  • For Tuesday, Feb. 19, complete the good copy of your five-paragraph essay, preferably on Office 365 or neatly handwritten. The essay topic is, "We are defined by the things we care for and love."
