- Be ready for tomorrow's in-class comparison essay on 1) "Wordsmith" and "The Gold Mountain Coat" (contrast the relationships of the fathers with their children) OR 2) "The Painted Door" and "The Sound of Hollyhocks" (compare and contrast the characters of John and Bill Ranson). We'll flip a coin!
