English 12 Block 1: Homework for Wednesday
  • We'll start reading Macbeth on Wednesday.
  • The Friday before spring break was test day! If you still need to write the short story exam, study your Powerpoint notes on irony, conflict, plot, characterspoint of viewdidactic writing, theme and symbolism. Missing any notes? Try my old online notes here.
    • Review the basic plot and characters of “Say Yes”, “How Much Land Does A Man Need?", “Boys and Girls”, “Hills Like White Elephants” and "The Story of an Hour".

English 9 Block 2: Homework for Wednesday
  • Finish the newspaper project for next Monday.
    • Finish typing all four paragraphs for the newspaper project. Print them out using the format rules of the project handout. Using that same handout, create a newspaper with the four paragraphs, a headline, a major graphic, and other graphical elements.
  • Did you complete your essay on the following essay question: "What is courage?"?

English 11 Block 3: 
Homework for Wednesday
  • If you didn't write the in-class comparison essay, remember that it cannot be written at home. That's what in-class means! Prepare two different outlines for 1) "Wordsmith" and "The Gold Mountain Coat" (contrast the relationships of the fathers with their children) AND 2) "The Painted Door" and "The Sound of Hollyhocks" (compare and contrast the characters of John and Bill Ranson). We'll flip a coin!

English 9 Linear: Homework for Thursday
  • Read Chp. 15 of Tomorrow, When The War Began. The test on Part 3 will be on Thursday, April 4.
  • Finish work on the Part 3 study guide.
  • Did you miss the sentence error test on before the spring break?
