English 10 Blocks 1/2: Homework for Wednesday
- Be ready for Thursday's 2nd vocabulary test.
- Re-read Romeo and Juliet up to 1.5.71.
- Feel free to use the No Fear Shakespeare site for Romeo and Juliet.
- We will finish Act 1 on Wednesday and write the Act 1 test on Friday. Re-read the sidebar commentary as a review.
English 12 Block 3: Homework for Tuesday
- Finish your outlines for your two essay topics. Next class is Tuesday, and on Tuesday we will write the essay. You can use the following items on Tuesday:
- Outline Sheets [You must have both outlines ready! No exceptions!]
- We will flip a coin to see which one you write!
- Click here for an extra outline sheet.
- Quote Sheet [You need two quotes that are properly blended into your essay.]
- UTROD Vocab Sheets [You'll be given up to three bonus marks if you can use three separate UTROD vocabulary words properly. You may use any version of the word.]
- Brainstorm both of your two chosen essay topics using a T-chart (+ | -). Find at least 7-8 points in favour of your essay topic, plus a few points that dispute it.
- Blend your six quotations using the three blending methods we discussed today. Use two quotations for each blending method.
- Be ready for next week's editing exam!
