• Read to p. 44 (i.e. Chps. 1-2) of October Sky for Wednesday.
• Complete the study guide notes (pg. 1) for the chapters above and review the Part 1 vocabulary sheet. 
• There will be a quiz on the first six chapters (i.e. to p. 111) on Friday, Oct. 16. 
• Interested in an e-book version of October Sky? Try this epub! Right click and download it to your device. Then, open it in a free epub reader app. (There are many free such apps on your favourite app store.) By the way, most epub apps have a reader feature, so give it a try!
• By next Friday make sure you've shown me your three labeled tabs ( Grammar / Writing / Analysis ) and handed in the parental letter signed by a parent or guardian. The former is worth 5 marks, and the latter is worth 10 marks!
