 English 12 Block 1: 


English 9 Block 3 (Day 1):
  • Writing A Paragraph:
    • Examine this website on categorization.
    • Now, take a look at your T-chart on the positives and negatives of technology. Focus on the "Positives" column. Using symbols, highlighters or coloured pens, identify three categories under which you can organize most of your examples (e.g. education/information/making connections).
    • Keeping in mind the basic structure of the paragraph, and using the categories above as your main points, write a complete paragraph that answers the following question:
      • How does technology enhance our lives?
        • Don't worry about the drawbacks of technology. We'll get to that later.
        • Aim for at least 7 sentences. Try to write at least two sentences per point.


English 9 Blocks 2 and 3 (Day 2):
  • * Using the documentary below, the articles from Interface, and your own experience, create a T-chart of the positives and negatives of technology. Aim for at least 8 point-form examples for each side.
  • Examine this website on categorization.
  • Now, take a look at the column under "Positives". Using highlighters or coloured pens, identify three categories under which you can organize most of your examples.


Philosophy 12:
  • Tomorrow we'll finish our teaching poster project. It's due Tuesday.
    • Complete your 1 - 2 pages of notes on your classical ethics section. Show them to me when you're done! /10 marks
    • Find two quotes from philosophers of your ethics and write them down. The quotes should exemplify two key beliefs of your ethical philosophy.
    • Start creating 4-6 mini-paragraphs on the key issues of your philosophy!
    • Bring some art supplies tomorrow!
  • If not completed, finish all (#v. to xv.) of the Ethics 1 questions.

    • 1. Provide an example of the respect displayed within Momma Henderson’s household. (1)
    • 2. Describe one example of how the poor white children act like “trash”. (1)
    • 3. Why is Angelou’s grandmother victorious? (1)
    • 4. What do you think Angelou is saying about racism? (1)
      • Answer in full sentences. Ensure your answers are full and thorough. Hand in your answers on a separate piece of paper. 
  • If not completed, finish all (#v. to xv.) of the Ethics 1 questions.
