  English 12 Block 1: 

  • Examine the sample paragraph I handed out in class today. Identify in the margins of the handout why this paragraph is a 6/6.
  • If not done. complete the 3rd rough copy business letter from the business letter package I handed out. Choose from one of the five still available. 
  • Review these websites on idiomscolloquial vs. slang languageclichés and euphemism.

English 9 Block 3 (Day 1):
  • Now we will write a 3rd set of notes for our "courage" unit. Read the following article on Viola Desmond. Then, summarize the key points of her life. /10 marks
    • Aim for 1-2 points per subheading (Early life and family /  Entrepreneur and community leader etc.)
    • Summarize the key points only. Focus on those examples that explain her courage.
