English 12 Block 1:
- Did you miss the final UTROD test #3 on Friday? If so, see me ASAP!
- Finish the rest of Under the Ribs of Death (UTROD). Finish the Part 3 study and vocab guide, particularly the vocab words. Write as much detail as possible.
- When you've finished reading and you've done the study guide, complete the online crossword for Part 3.
- Finally, consider the following questions:
- How does the Great Depression affect the characters of Under the Ribs of Death?
- What moral lessons is John Marlyn, the author, offering with his novel. In other words, what lessons about life have we learned from the book?
- What has happened to Alex in the last few pages? What do you think will happen in the next few months?
English 9 Block 2:
- Notes #3: Finish the second page of notes on Viola Desmond. Aim for about 5-7 notes for each side. Focus on the most important facts. /10 marks
- Notes #2: If not done, finish your notes on Suu Kyi (p. 141 of Interface).
- Give me one sentence per paragraph that summarizes the key points of that sentence. You will have to make choices about what's important and what's unimportant.
- Finish your good copy paragraph by Monday evening. Send it to me via Office 365's "Share" feature.
