English 12 Block 1:

• We are reading The Great Gatsby!
• Read Chp. 1 of The Great Gatsby for Wednesday, and complete a set of Cornell notes for Chp. 1. Focus on the regular notes in the "Note Taking Area" (about 10-12 point form notes = 1 note per 2 pages). You must be judicious!
• You can download the free epub version of The Great Gatsby here. (Right click and hit Save link as...). Then, open it up in a free epub reader like Frieda. Most of these free apps have a read-aloud function.
• Alternatively, you can read use an online audio book version here.
• The essay was due on Monday by 4:00 pm. Send it to me via "Share". Don't forget to follow the checklist I handed out.

English 9 Block 2:

• Did you miss today's test on the parts of the sentence?

• T-chart on the similarities and differences between the movie and novel versions of Animal Farm.
