- You can download the free epub version of The Great Gatsby here. (Right click and hit Save link as...). Then, open it up in a free epub reader like Frieda. Most of these free apps have a read-aloud function.
- Alternatively, you can read use an online audio book version here.
- Friday was the last day to work on your personal essay.

- The essay is due on Monday by 4:00 pm. Send it to me via "Share". Don't forget to follow the checklist I handed out today.
English 9 Block 2:
- Test alert! Because of staffing shortages on Friday, we will write the Animal Farm 2 test on Monday, Dec. 12.
- Finish reading Chapter 10 of Animal Farm. Complete the 2nd study guide. You'll hand it in tomorrow.
- Study the notes on:

- the changes to the 7 commandments;
- "Decoding the Allegory";
- T-chart on the similarities and differences between the movie and novel versions of Animal Farm.
- Test alert: The parts of the sentence test will be on Tuesday, December 13.
