English 12 Block 1:
- FOR MONDAY MORNING:
- Finish The Great Gatsby.
- Finish your Chp. 9 notes (i.e. Cornell notes, quote notes, or a mind map.)
- Study the "Essay Types" handout in your writing section. Focus on the first three.
- Consider the following topics:
- Is Gatsby a likable character or not? Consider both sides.
- Compare Sandor Hunyadi and Jay Gatsby. Consider their differences and similarities.
- Which characters are most responsible for Gatsby's death?
- What are the similarities and differences between the novel and movie versions of The Great Gatsby?
- Which characters least deserved their (good or bad) fates [aka outcomes] at the end of the story?
- I'll be available on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday if you want to make up missing assignments.
English 9 Block 2:

- Finish your review package!

English 11 Block 3:
- FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON (at noon):
- Finish the rough copies of your mini-paragraphs. Bring art supplies and/or a laptop if desired.
- In all projects, you can have a 3-2 or 4-1 ratio of positive/negative or negative/positive.
- Do your own work! You will lose considerable points for any paragraph that simply copies online sources. I want to hear your considered opinions.
- I'll be available on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday if you want to make up missing assignments.
