 Have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable spring break!


English 11 Block 1:

  • For Monday, April 3
      • Due Friday, Mar. 17: Finish typing up your good copy "digital technology" essay. You should use #6 in the essay handout as your guide. Send it to me (Colin Welch) via "Share".
    • Long term
      • Did you miss the "Fragments and Run-Ons" and "Parts of the Sentence" tests? If so, see me ASAP!
      • Review these notes on subject-verb agreement.

      English 12 Block 2:

      • For Monday, April 3
        • Due Friday, Mar. 17: Finish the good copy of one of your paragraphs. Send it to me (Colin Welch) via "Share".
          • 💥Additions: Below your paragraph, explain in full sentences (1-3) why your paragraph is an example of ________ writing. Then, highlight the sections of your paragraph like we've done before (TS, Body Sections, CS). /4
          • Upgrade your paragraph where necessary.
          • 12-14 size font
          • ~10-16 sentences
          • Full name and title at the top
          • Indent at the beginning.
          • 1.5 spacing
          • Send it to me via "Share" in Office 365.
          • It will be out of /24 marks and marked on the 6 point scale.

      Philosophy 12 Block 3: 

      • For Monday, April 3
        • The ethics test will be written on Wednesday, April 5.
        • Complete all of the Utilitarianism questions (i.e. 1-12). They must be done for Thursday, Mar. 16!
        • Complete your good copy of one of your seven journal entries. Write it like a traditional paragraph. Send it in via Office 365's "Share" feature. If you haven't handed them in already, also hand in 5 of your best original journal entries.
        • Complete your ethics poster! 

      English 11 Block 4 (Day 2): 

      • For Monday, April 3
        • Read Chp. 10 and 11 of October Sky. Continue the Part 2 study guide and study your vocabulary. Start filling in the back theme topics. The Part 2 test will be held on Wed., April 5.
          • If you're interested, you can read an epub version of October Sky:
            • Right-click here and choose Save Link As...
            • Load the epub file into a free epub reader app. There are free apps on all platforms. These apps should have a Read Aloud function.
        • Test alert! Did you miss the SVA test? The Part 1 October Sky test? See me ASAP!
