 English 12 Blocks 1/2: Homework for Tuesday

  • ALT Assignment: Read “The Seven Minute Life of Marc Lepine” and “Our Daughters, Ourselves” from the essay handout and answer the following in a proper paragraph:
    • Choose one of the essays. Explain why the essay is effective. (7)
      • Provide a topic sentence, 2-4 specific examples of the essay's effectiveness, and a conclusion.

    • In a short paragraph of 6-8 sentences, explain the main theme of the essay and at least supporting points.
      • Answer in full sentences (1-3 each) on a separate piece of paper. Avoid starting with “To”, “That”, “So”, and “Because”.

  • Get the notes on the six classical ethical philosophies if you don't have them.
  • Finish your ethics poster! It's due!
  • If not done, finish reading our classical ethic notes and complete at least 2-3 page of point form notes. The denser and more detailed the notes, the better. /10
    • Include two relevant quotes from one or two philosophers of your ethical philosophy.

English 11 Block 4 Linear: Homework for Wednesday
  • Read Chp. 2 of Maus II (up to ~p. 60) and complete up to #8 in the study guide for Wednesday.
