 English 11 Block 1: Homework for Tuesday

  • Type up your essay in good copy. (We'll work on it tomorrow but that's our final day.)
    • It's due in via Office 365 Share by Thursday, April 11.
    • Follow the checklist!
    • If possible, add in your two bonus appositives and two bonus subordinate clauses. Don't bolden or highlight the entire sentence!
  • Get the notes on sentence fragments and run-on sentences

Philosophy 12 Block 2: 
Homework for Tuesday
  • Did you miss the ethics test on Friday, April 5th? See me ASAP!
    • Study your notes on:
      • the Introduction to Ethics PPT;
      • Plato and Artistotle;
      • classical ethics (all 6);
      • utilitarianism (including Peter Singer)
      • Kantianism.
  • Here is the first journal entry for Round 2:
    • 9. Lawyers take a solemn oath to defend the interests of their clients. They must not suppress information either. If you were the lawyer, would you withhold information that implicates your client in a violent crime, even if you might be disbarred? 


English 12 Block 3: 
Homework for Tuesday
  • Type up your good copy paragraph. It's due Tuesday!
    • Follow the checklist!
    • Highlight or underline your sections (TS,B1, B2,etc.) AND bolden your two bonus parts (an appositive phrase and a dependent clause; don't give me the whole sentence).

Tuesday
  • Read Chp. 7 of October Sky for Tuesday. Start the Part 2 study guide with as much detail as possible and review the vocabulary.
  • Test alert! The first test (Chps. 1-6) will be written on Friday, April 5.
    • Read Chps. 1-6 of October SkyComplete the study guide with as much detail as possible and review the vocabulary on the back!
    • Review the PPT on the themes of October Sky.
    • Review the map notes from the Friday before the spring break.
    • Here is the key for today's Part 1 crossword.
  • Test alert! Did you miss the "confusing words" test? Study your handouts (on which the test is based) and pay particular attention to the introductory explanations.
