- Make sure you've done at least two page of notes on your political philosopher, including the criticisms. Detail counts! I'll collect it at the the end of Tuesday's class. /20
- Political philosophy: Make sure you get the notes on socialism, liberalism, and conservatism.
- Here are the journal entries (so far) for Round 3:
- 18. Would you be willing to commit perjury for your best friend? For example, might you testify that he was driving carefully when he hit a pedestrian, even though he had been joking around and not paying attention?
- 19. As a soldier, would you willingly die for your country? Would it matter if you volunteered or were drafted? Remember Socrates’s final choice. What would he say?
- 20. Now that we are half-way through this unit, you may be closer to self-understanding. Which political philosophy most closely resembles your own beliefs? Explain with at least three examples.
English 12 Block 3: Homework for Friday
- The Great Gatsby: Read ALL of Chp. 9 and finish your Chp. 9 notes!
- For Part 2 (Chps. 7-9), you may mix and match three types of notes: Cornell, question, and mind-map. The Chp. 9 notes (of your choice) are due Monday, June 10.
- 📌For both Chp. 8 and Chp. 9, all note sets need to include five properly introduced quotations, no matter which note type is being used.

English 11 Block 4 Linear: Homework for Tuesday
- Test alert! The final October Sky test is coming on Thursday, June 6 and the first half of Tuesday's double block! (We'll be moving on to a new unit in the 2nd half of Tuesday's class.)
- Read to the end of October Sky (including the Epilogue) and finish the Part 4 study guide. Give me detail! /10
- Make sure your T-Chart is ready to go, with highlighting.
- Don't forget to bring the "Six Types of Essays" handout.
- The final exam is on Tuesday, June 25.
- Get the compare and contrast notes from a fellow student on the novel vs. movie comparison if you missed the last few classes. The movie is on Netflix.
