• Finish the 2nd poetry assignment:
• Choose a different poem from our 11x17 handout and explain in a paragraph the atmosphere of the poem. Write a topic sentence, a body (with 2-3 specific examples of the atmosphere/mood), and a concluding sentence.
• OR
• Draw an image that resembles the imagery from a different poem from our 11x17 handout. Write a 1-2 sentence explanation of that image and include 2-3 quotes which describe that image. Look for descriptive words, figurative language and sound devices.
• Finish the first of many paragraphs in our poetry unit. 
• Choose one poem from our 11x17 handout and explain the theme of the poem.
