English 11 Block 2: Homework for Tuesday, March 29
- Did you write Friday's in-class essay? Using your two T-charts, create an outline for each of the two different compare and contrast topics:
- Compare and contrast the relationships that the father in “Wordsmith” and Sam Sing in “The Gold Mountain Coat” have with their children.
- Compare and contrast the short story and film versions of "The Painted Door".
- It's probably best to attempt a simple form of the compare and contrast essay.
- If not finished, complete reading Sinclair Ross's "The Painted Door". Then, watch the video version of the story and create a T-chart of differences and similarities between the two versions. Aim for at least 15 point in total.
