English 12 Block 2: Homework for Thursday

• Get ready for the first Great Gatsby test on Thursday:
• Study your Powerpoint and Cornell notes for the characters, events and themes of the novel.
• Get to know F. Scott Fitzgerald.
• Think about how the wealthy are portrayed in the novel, and how the settings of the first three chapters explain the differences within American society in the 1920's.
• The Chp. 3 Cornell notes were due Wednesday, as was the 3rd vocab quiz.
• The first major Great Gatsby test will be held on Thursday.
• Interested in reading The Great Gatsby on an e-reader or iPad? Download (by right-clicking and choosing Save Target/Link As) and save the novel in epub format. Most phones, e-readers and iPads will be able to use epub in their reading apps.
