- 5. A dilemma is a choice between two (or more) difficult options. What was Oram’s dilemma? Do you think Oram’s choice was the correct one? Explain. (2)

- If not finished, read Vidyut Aklujkar's "Behind the Headlines" and answer the following alternate assignment:
- Lakshmi is mistreated by her husband. Explain the mistreatment, and explain how this may constitute abuse. Write a paragraph of 8 to 15 sentences and include both a topic and concluding sentence.
English 10 Blocks 2/3: Homework for Monday
- Read to the end of Maus (Vol. 2). Finish your 2nd study guide. The last Maus test will be on Monday, March 2.
- There will be a paragraph on the 2nd test. Consider the following topics:
- What was daily life like in Auschwitz? What were the living conditions and difficulties that Vladek faced?
- Describe Vladek's personality as an elderly man (i.e. as Artie knows him).
- How was Vladek a survivor?
- Look for specific examples!
English 12 Block 4 Linear: Homework for Monday
- If not done, read George Woodcock's "The Tyranny of the Clock" and complete the SAT analysis sheet handed out in class and be ready for MC quiz on the essay.
- Questions 2-5 of the SAT analysis sheet should be in full sentences and in your own words!
- If not finished, read Jo Goodwin Parker's "What is poverty?" from the essay booklet and finish the following alternate assignment:
- In a full paragraph and with at least two properly blended quotations, explain why “What is Poverty?” is (or isn’t) an expository essay. You may provide a complex response.
