English 11 Block 1: Homework for Tuesday
  • Read "The Sound of Hollyhocks" for Tuesday's multiple choice quiz.
  • Did you miss Friday's subject verb agreement test? See me soon!
    • Review all of the SVA handouts.
    • Review these two online resources: here and here.
  • If you haven't finished "Gentlemen, Your Verdict", read Michael Bruce's short story and answer the following alternate assignment:
    • Explain Commander Oram’s dilemma in this story. Do you agree with his decision? Explain why or why not. Write a paragraph of 7 to 14 sentences and include both a topic and concluding sentence.

English 10 Blocks 2/3: Homework for Tuesday
  • If you missed today's Maus II test, see Mr. Koehn ASAP!
    • There will be a paragraph on the 2nd test. Consider the following topics:
      • What was daily life like in Auschwitz? What were the living conditions and difficulties that Vladek faced?
      • Describe Vladek's personality as an elderly man (i.e. as Artie knows him). 
      • How was Vladek a survivor?
        • Look for specific examples!

English 12 Block 4 Linear: Homework for Wednesday
  • If you were away, drop by and get the handout on gender biased language.
  • If not done, read George Woodcock's "The Tyranny of the Clock" and complete the SAT analysis sheet handed out in class and be ready for MC quiz on the essay.
    • Questions 2-5 of the SAT analysis sheet should be in full sentences and in your own words!
