- *We'll be writing a small test on fragments and run-ons on Wednesday, May 18.
- Review your notes on the sentence fragment and the run-on sentence. Then, examine the following sites:
- *For Wednesday, write a rough copy introductory paragraph. Include a topic introduction, a thesis, and an outline. Answer the general question: Generally speaking, is social media a benefit or a weakness for society?
- Follow the outline on p. 5 of this handout.
- To prepare, answer both questions in separate paragraphs:
- What are the benefits of social media?

- What are the disadvantages of social media?

- Given the information found in the documentary above, create a full-page +| - chart and generate at least 10 examples of the strengths and weaknesses of social media. This will be an important start to our upcoming writing unit.
- Categorize your examples on each side of the +/- T-chart. Use this website as a guide. Aim for about three categories on each side.
