 English 12 Block 1:

  • TEST WARNING!  😱 Finish reading Chp. 5 of Under the Ribs of Death (UTROD). FINISH the Part 1 study and vocab guide, particularly the vocab words. Write as much detail as possible.
    • The first test on UTROD will be on Monday, Sept. 19 Tuesday, Sept. 20. It will cover the main characters, events and vocabulary of Chps. 1-5. It will consist of multiple choice and matching of vocabulary.
  • Study this site on subjects and predicates.
  • Study this site on direct and indirect objects.
  • Study this site on prepositional phrases.
  • Please have your parent or guardian sign your parental welcoming letter by Friday.
  • For next week, divide your binder using three labeled dividers: Grammar/Writing /Units.

  • Read Chapter 6 of Maus. You should be roughly half way through the 2nd page of your study guide. You can use point form. I want detail!
    • Be ready for the first Maus test on Monday, Sept. 19 Tuesday, Sept. 20 Wednesday, Sept. 21! If you create a detailed study guide, the multiple choice test should be fairly straightforward.
