English 12 Block 1:
- We are reading The Great Gatsby!
- Read Chp. 3 for Tuesday, January 4th, and start a set of Cornell notes for Chp.3. You must be judicious!
- The Chp. 3 Cornell notes are due Wed., Jan. 5th, the same day as the first The Great Gatsby test on Chps. 1-3!
- You can download the free epub version of The Great Gatsby here. (Right click and hit Save link as...). Then, open it up in a free epub reader like Frieda. Most of these free apps have a read-aloud function.
- Alternatively, you can read use an online audio book version here.
- The essay was due on Monday by 4:00 pm. Send it to me via "Share". Don't forget to follow the checklist I handed out.

English 9 Block 2:
- Read "What Do I Remember of the Evacuation" from Interface (pp. 104-105). Then, answer the questions here in full sentences.
- Read "Grandma's Scones" from Interface (p. 88). Then, answer the questions here in full sentences. The last question is a bonus.

- Read to the end of Part 3 (Chp. 20) of October Sky.
- Finish the Part 3 study guide and vocab words for the Part 3 test on Wed., Jan. 4th.
